Natasha Swingler believes the body knows things worth knowing. She is curious about what drives us and wants more ecstatic moments. Natasha makes performance, dance, video, sound, photographs, ceremonies and installations connected to the act of remembering, the replay of memory through the body and transmission between bodies. Her work looks at the unspoken, the unseen, taboo, notions of belonging, identity and trauma, liminal and threshold experiences through the lens of poetry and metaphor, memory, sensation and image. Natasha has worked with Zecora Ura, Urban Dolls Project, Body Cartography Project, A2 Company, Tuning Lab among others and her video works have been shown at venues across the U.K and Europe. Natasha is also a qualified Therapeutic yoga teacher and bodyworker.
